Terms, refunds & cancellations

SCOF is a one-person home kitchen. These are the rules the shop actually runs on — what you are buying, when you can have it, and what happens when something has to change. If a situation is not here, message us and we will tell you straight.

Everything is pre-order

There is no counter to walk up to and nothing sitting on a shelf. The dough is mixed the day before and rested overnight, so a scone cannot be baked on the day you ask for it however early you ask.

That means nothing is ever same-day. Orders close for the next day's bake at a cut-off in the afternoon before — the hour is set in the back office and can move, so the collection-day picker on the order form is the authority: it only offers days we can still bake for.

You can book up to 14 days ahead, and up to 40 scones in one online order. For a larger bake, message us first so it can be scheduled.

Collection and delivery

Pickup is free, from the kitchen in Cheras. The exact address and a collection time are agreed with you on WhatsApp — please do not turn up unannounced, because it is a house and there may be nobody in it.

Delivery covers the Klang Valley. Type your address at checkout and the fare is worked out from the distance to it and added to your total before you pay; the amount you see at checkout is the amount charged.

Deliveries are made between 2pm–5pm. A rider hands the box over at street level — we do not deliver to a door inside a high-rise, so please come down to meet the rider.

We will contact you on the day to confirm. If we cannot reach you on the phone number on the order, the delivery is held — paid or not — until you get in touch. That is the whole reason the number is asked for.

Paying

Orders are paid online at checkout — FPX online banking, or a card. Payments are handled by toyyibPay and by Stripe; the card details go to them, never to us.

One thing that surprises people: the payment page can open under the name Chan Jia Qi rather than SCOF. That is correct — toyyibPay verifies accounts against a personal IC, so the page carries the registered name. The bill is marked SCOF and the amount is the one you agreed to. Nothing is charged until you finish the payment, so if anything looks wrong, close the page and message us.

An order that is not paid does not hold its place. The scones it reserved go back on sale and the order is cancelled — we would rather tell you that plainly than let you believe a bake is coming.

Changing the date, cancelling, refunds

Tell us as soon as you know. Everything below turns on one thing: whether the scones have been baked yet.

  • Not paid yet — nothing to cancel. The order lapses on its own and the slot is released.
  • Paid, and we have not baked yet — message us and we will move it to another day, or cancel and refund it in full. This is the ordinary case and we do not argue with it.
  • Paid, and the bake has started — your scones are made the morning of your collection day, for you, and cannot be sold to anyone else. At that point we cannot promise a refund. Ask anyway: we would usually rather rearrange the day than take your money for a box you did not get.
  • Something was wrong with what you received — tell us that day, with a photograph if you can. We will replace it on the next bake or refund it. We would rather hear it than read it on Google.

Refunds go back through whichever provider took the payment, to the account it came from. How long that takes is theirs, not ours — we will tell you the day we send it, and after that it is between your bank and the gateway.

If we have to cancel

It happens: illness, an oven that will not light, a day the kitchen cannot bake. If we cancel an order you have paid for, you get the whole amount back including any delivery fare, and we will tell you as early as we know rather than on the morning.

What is in them

Facts about the kitchen, not certifications: pork-free kitchen · no alcohol · no preservatives · baked to order daily.

The scones contain wheat, dairy and egg, and some flavours contain cream cheese, nuts or fruit — every ingredient is listed on the menu card for that flavour. If you are ordering for someone with an allergy, read the list and ask us if anything is unclear. This is a home kitchen and not a controlled facility, so we cannot rule out traces of what else is baked here.

Scones are best on the day. They carry no preservatives, which is the point of them and also the reason they do not keep like something from a supermarket shelf.

Photographs and prices

The photographs are of our own bakes. A scone is handmade and no two are identical, so yours will not be the photograph, only close to it.

Prices on the site are the prices charged, in Malaysian ringgit, and can change. The price you are shown at checkout is the price for that order.

Questions

WhatsApp 018-326 9974, with your order reference if you have one. A real person answers, which is also why the answer is not instant.
